Experience 62 km of Atlantic breezes, red cliffs, smooth gravel, and cinematic views. Pine forests, Insta-ready fences in San Ambrosio, Faro de Trafalgar horizons, and a velvet-smooth forest finale — plus pizza at La Cayena for the ultimate reward.

We roll out from Roche — from a parking spot so close to the Atlantic you can almost dip your toes before clipping in. Pine forests on one side, fiery red cliffs on the other, dropping straight into the ocean. Pro tip: perfect place for a sunset ride — golden hour here feels like pure magic.

From there, it’s straight to the edge — literally. We hop on a gravel path with a surface that’s smoother than it looks, running so close to the towering cliffs it feels like you’re pedaling in mid-air. Meanwhile, the Atlantic keeps flashing its endless shades of blue, until the trail gently drops us into Conil de la Frontera — where waves give way to the clean lines of the Vía Verde.

When you think you’re cruising the Vía Verde in zen mode — a gravel path twists toward San Ambrosio. Ancient hermitage aside, my eyes are locked on the two epically photogenic fences that basically force me to stop and make content for Strava every time I visit.

The loop around here is pure joy — quiet lanes, sleepy farms, and that slow countryside rhythm that makes you forget you’re technically exercising. We climb back up to the Vía Verde, and suddenly the horizon opens into a cinematic view of Faro de Trafalgar — the famous lighthouse that once witnessed one of the most important naval battles in history.

Then comes the “greatest hits” section: 10 km of the Vía Verde, smooth and steady. And just when you think it’s over, we throw in the encore — a bike path so perfect it feels illegal. Velvet-smooth winding through a pine forest, leading you right back to Roche.

Ride over, smiles wide — and if you’ve still got some fuel left in the tank (or just a pizza-shaped hole to fill), roll over to La Cayena. Best post-ride reward? Absolutely.
